There’s not enough backstory to make it interesting, and it’s very confusing as to what’s actually going on. It is slow, short, and contains little action.

While there were some good aspects, the movie was depressing and not enough happened. There was exceptional dialogue and each character was very well-spoken. The flashbacks of Darwin’s early life and how the story of Dara’s past with her father affects her relationship with Darwin really binds the plot together. When Darwin goes outside for the first time, the movie is shot in a stunning location where you see nature at its finest. The tiny pod was made perfectly to have the audience sympathize with the main character’s miserable emotions. The setting of the movie was impressively realistic. After finding that the air is suitable to live in, he takes shelter with them. Molly Parker (Lillian), Juliette Goselyn (Dara), Daniel Divenre (Steven), and Jordyn Negri (Beth), were all actors who played the role of the family found by Darwin (Nick Krause) after he ventured into the outside world due to his pod being destroyed. This type of day-to-day life is continual for 9 years.

This movie has a notable selection of actors and an extraordinary set. It proved to be depressing and unfulfilling. This movie is a sci-fi film focusing on the dystopian world created in the future.
